Anytime a season change is upon us, I have a hard time getting dressed. I love to shop, so I’m always shopping and stocking up for what is next. However, I’m also terribly impatient, so I try to mix in new pieces I can wear now, with my wear later fall pieces. Here’s what I’ve been buying lately, to wear from summer to fall.

What to Wear From Summer To Fall
T-Shirts
I’ve been buying a lot of t-shirts lately. They’re great now, while it’s still hot and will be perfect later, under cardigans! I wore my fair share of off-the-shoulder tops this summer, but I didn’t buy a lot of cold-shoulder tops. So, I figured it was about time I added one to my closet. This cold shoulder top from boohoo, was a little long on me, so I knotted the front. It runs small, I wish I had sized up (maybe even two sizes) for a little more room.

Flats
Something I buy every year for fall, is flats! I don’t wear booties often, they don’t flatter my short legs as much I would like them too. However, a good pair of flats goes with everything, is comfortable and is pretty perfect for our temperatures here from now, into December.
Cardigans and Light Jackets
Y’all it was so hot the day we took these pictures. I literally melted in this jacket. I was urging Steven to take the pictures as quickly as possible. All for a good post, right?! Although it was really hot that day, the weather has been up and down already. We’ve had cooler mornings that have been perfect for a light jacket or cardigan and I’ve been loving this ponte wrap from Boohoo. It’s heavier than I expected it to be, but it’s soft and I can’t wait to wear it into the fall and winter. (Never again on a hot, humid day) It comes in petite, which I love, of course!

Jeans
I’ve also been stocking up on jeans. I’m not a huge fan of shorts, so to be honest, I will sweat it out in a pair of jeans, rather than wear a pair of shorts. So for me, jeans are a definite wear now, wear later item. This pair is from Boohoo’s petite line. I realized with this order that Boohoo seems to run small in general, so I wish I had sized up a bit in these jeans too. I ordered my typical size and could barely get them on. However, the length is perfect, which is a plus! They’re also well made for their price point. I’m hoping they will loosen up with wear, because oh my gracious, they’re tight, haha!

Shop The Post

My baby is in school now, so I’m pretty just done with summer. If I can’t have pool days with him, I would rather be curling up with some pumpkin spice. Anyone else?
