Are you on the fence about taking the plunge and cutting your hair short? I’m here to say do it! Here’s five reasons why you should:
1. Your ends are dry. Did you hop on the ombre bus? I did. I lifted the ends of my hair until they were the ‘blondest’ my hair has ever been. I loved it, but my ends ended up damaged and dry. By the time I grew tired of fighting the inevitable rat’s nest my hair became every day, the chop was welcome.
2. You’re short on time. When my hair was long, it took me nearly 30 minutes every morning just to blow dry it. Most days I ended up tossing it up into a top knot, just so I could rush out of the door, only to feel crummy most of the day because my hair felt ‘undone’. Don’t get me wrong, an up-do is cute, but it doesn’t top that fluffy bouncy blow out. Now, with shorter hair, it takes about 10 minutes to get that bouncy blow dry!
3. Your hair falls flat. I personally have really fine hair, but a lot of it. When my hair is long it tends to fall flat, which is a total bummer after spending those 30 minutes to blow dry it. With less hair, I have more volume!
4. You’ve worn your hair the same since high school. Guilty! I did cut my hair short once, about five years ago, but other than that, my hair has always been cut the same. Change can be a very good thing.
I may be a little biased, but I love my short hair!

Who knows how long it will be before I’m growing my locks back out, but until then, this lob makes me one happy girl. How about you, have I convinced you to go short yet?
