If comfort is your priority when it comes to getting dressed, this post is for you! Today I’m sharing three pairs of wide-leg pull-on pants for petites that combine comfort with a polished look. From soft brushed pants to satin and crepe styles, these are all easy-to-wear options that can be dressed up or down.
All three pairs have petite-friendly inseams ranging from 27.5″ to 28″. For reference, I’m 4’10” and wearing all three pairs without alterations. Depending on your proportions, these styles may work for you with flats or heels, too!

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
LOFT Sawyer Wide-Leg Pull-On Pants
The Sawyer Pants from LOFT are a comfortable wide-leg pull-on style that comes back in different fabrics throughout the seasons. I’ve tried several versions of these pants and have noticed a little variation in the fit depending on the fabric.
This particular pair has a soft brushed finish. If you love the look of the popular crepe pants we’ve been seeing everywhere but prefer something a little softer, I think you’ll love these! They have a relaxed, drapey fit that feels comfortable but still looks polished enough to dress up for work.
They’re made from a blend of 69% polyester, 29% rayon, and 2% spandex, giving them a soft feel with a little stretch. In petite sizing, they have a 10.5″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam. I find this version to fit true to size and I’m wearing my usual Petite XXS.

Abercrombie Gemma Satin Pants
Satin pants rose in popularity last season, and while I loved the look, I struggled to find a pair that worked for my petite frame. So I was excited to come across the Gemma Pants from Abercrombie in a short length.
These pants have a beautiful satin finish that makes them feel a little dressier than your typical pull-on pants. They’re made from a blend of 56% polyester and 44% viscose, with a lining made from 98% polyester and 2% elastane. They’re a great weight, with a comfortable, relaxed wide-leg fit. I love that they’re an easy option for dressing up, especially as we go into the holiday season.
In the short length, they have an 11″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam. I took both measurements from the Petite XXS I’m wearing. I find them to fit true to size with a comfortable, relaxed fit.

Quince Crepe Wide-Leg Pants
Quince recently released a pair of crepe pants that rival the viral wide-leg pull-on style that’s been popular over the last year. I was excited to try them, especially when I saw that the standard inseam was only 28″.
Unlike the other two pairs in this post, these pants don’t come in petite or short sizing. However, with an 11″ rise and a 28″ inseam, they’re still a petite-friendly option for some. I know that length won’t work for all of my petite friends, but with my proportions, I can wear them with flats without alterations.

The pants are made from a heavyweight crepe fabric that’s a blend of 90% recycled polyester and 10% spandex. They have a beautiful drape and feel substantial without being stiff. They’re well made and have luxe details, like silk pockets, that give them a more elevated feel.
I’m wearing them in XS and find the fit to be a little roomy. I think sizing down is a safe bet if you prefer a closer fit. I especially like these pants as an option for casual outfits that still feel put together, but they’re also easy to dress up.
