It seems if I’m not wearing a dress, I’m wearing activewear this summer. Here are a few of my favorite activewear finds for summer.

Summer Activewear for Petites

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

A Tipped Activewear Skort

This red activewear skort from Athleta has a soft, comfortable waistband and built-in shorts with grips at the thighs. The thigh grips help the shorts stay in place, which is one of those technical details that Athleta is good at. I’m wearing the shorts in XXS and find them to fit true to size.

An Under $35 Active Skort

An activewear skort from Amazon with built-in shorts and a light dolphin hem skirt. I love the soft stretch waist and length of this skort. I’m wearing it in XS, but it starts at XXS, so I technically sized up.

HIking shorts with a flat comfortable waistband, 4′ inseam, no ride-up and a comfortable amount of room in the legs. The shorts fit me well in XS—an all-around win.

An Active Dress with Accessible Shorts

This activewear dress solves the issue of needing to take down your entire dress to use the bathroom, with built-in accessible shorts that pull down from the waist. My favorite part about this dress is that I can wear a bra with it; it’s not low in the back or at the chest. The underlayer is snug, but the top layer skims over and doesn’t cling.
