Budget Friendly Spring Outfits

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Cropped Wide Leg Jeans + Puff Sleeve Top

The cropped wide-leg jeans from Banana Republic Factory come in five spring-ready colors. I’m wearing Desert Rose here, a soft pink shade. In petite, the jeans have a 24″ inseam and a 9.5″ rise, while the standard length has a 10″ rise and a 26″ inseam. I’m wearing the standard length here for a full-length fit, but I can also wear the petite length for a cropped look.

The fabric is a comfortable, medium-weight blend of 83% cotton, 8% modal, 7% polyester, and 2% elastane. They’re stretchy, comfortable, and have well-placed pockets. I find these jeans stretch quite a bit with wear, so while they run true to size, you may want to size down to help offset stretching.

I paired them with a puff-sleeve top from Old Navy. It comes in petite sizing and has a great fit. The white isn’t see-through, though you’ll want a nude bra underneath. It’s also available in additional colors and prints. I usually stick to simple gold earrings, but these statement earrings from Target were the perfect complement to the jeans—I couldn’t resist.

Cropped Wide Leg Jeans + Pointelle Cardigan

I’m wearing the cropped wide-leg jeans from Banana Republic Factory in petite in this outfit (9.5″ rise, 24″ inseam). In white, they aren’t see-through, and I love the cropped length for spring and summer. I paired them with a pointelle cardigan from Old Navy, which has a great fit, and finished the look with a light blue scarf—also from Old Navy—for a soft pop of color.

Target Corset Sundress

This Target Corset Sundress is much more of a maxi on my petite frame than the midi length it’s designed for, but I love it! The print is pretty for spring and summer, and the adjustable straps help adjust to my height – albeit I did have to shorten them wayyyy up. The dress is a nice weight, doesn’t wrinkle easily, and works well with a pair of heels. I’m wearing it in XS here, and it’s a little roomy on me, so a size down may be the best fit.

Target Puff Sleeve Mini Shirtdress

This Mini Shirtdress from Target is a great length for petites. I love the yellow floral print and tie belt. The fit of this dress is generous. It’s wide across my shoulders and loose through the top, but the tie belt helps cinch it to your size. If you’re comfortable with something being a little oversized, I think the dress is a great length, and I love the color. You could also try a size down for a better fit if available.
