In today’s post, I’m reviewing the fit of two rompers/skorts and two midi dresses from Abercrombie. They all have a great petite-friendly fit and would be perfect for upcoming spring and summer holidays and events.

Where to Wear Spring & Summer Outfits
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Denim Romper: Summer Concert
This romper makes me think of a summer concert or a summer date night. The romper is stretch denim and comes in this dark rinse option as well as white. There is petite, regular, and tall sizing available. I chose regular sizing for more length since Abercrombie pieces are notoriously short. I almost always pick regular length in their shorts and mini dress options. In regular sizing the romper fits me well lengthwise. I picked XXS which would be my true size, and although it fits well when standing, it is tight when I sit down and a little hard to pull over my hips, so I think a size up is the best bet. The denim is thick, but stretchy, and the straps are not adjustable.

Printed Skort: Beach Vacation
I’m packing this skort for my upcoming trip to the beach. The built-in shorts and overall roomy fit make it comfortable to wear, sitting and standing. The straps are adjustable, and the fabric is lightweight but not sheer. It comes in four different print options and petite, regular, and tall sizing. Again, I chose regular for a little more length. This one is true to size, not need to size up or down. For reference I’m wearing it in XXS.
Black Midi Dress: Date Night
This midi dress is the perfect length for petites. It is 100% cotton and has a cotton poplin skirt and stretch top. The skirt is unlined but not sheer, and it has pockets. The spaghetti straps are adjustable. I chose petite sizing in this dress and find it to be true to size overall. I think it makes a beautiful date night option. You can dress it up with heels or dress it down with flat sandals.

Gingham Dress: Memorial Weekend & 4th of July
I’ve been doing this long enough to know that red and white gingham is not everyone’s favorite. Someone on social is definitely going to tell me I look like a tablecloth. I, however, love this classic summer print. It’s festive and perfect for summer holidays. The dress is true to size, for reference I’m wearing it in Petite XXS. It is stretchy at the back and zips at the size. The skirt is fully lined and it has pockets.
