In today’s post, I’m sharing three casual outfits for petites, inspired by the spring season. There’s still snow on the ground here, but I’m definitely dreaming of warmer days ahead.

Casual Outfits for Work for Petites
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Colored Jeans
Colored jeans are a great option for casual work environments, and I love the fit of this pair from Banana Republic Factory. They’re designed as a cropped style, with a 24″ inseam, and a 9.5″ rise in petite and a 26″ inseam, and 10″ rise in standard sizing. I can wear both, but I’m wearing the standard length here.
Fit note: these jeans run true to size but are quite stretchy and relax with wear, so I recommend sizing down to help offset the loosening.

Straight Jeans
Straight jeans are a classic style that I find a lot of my reader to prefer. In this outfit I went for the Stovepipe Jeans from J.Crew Factory. They’re a dark clean wash with a 10″ rise and a 26″ inseam in petite. I find them to fit true to size with comfortable stretch. They are 88% cotton/10% TENCEL™ lyocell/2% elastane. I paired them with a classic cotton sweater and a navy blazer from Banana Republic Factory.

Stretch Wide Leg Pants
I try on a lot of clothing and only share the best of the best here, but every once in a while I come across something that genuinely excites me — and these pants are one of those finds. They’re especially well-suited for teachers and professionals who travel, two of the most common requests I get in my inbox.
The fabric is soft, stretchy, and resists wrinkling, making them easy to wear all day. I often find pants like this cling to my hips and thighs, but this pair drapes beautifully instead. I also love that they have a button-and-zip closure rather than a pull-on waist, which gives them a more polished, professional look.
Fit-wise, they’re true to size. In petite, they have a 10″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam.
