4 Ways to Style Black Straight Leg Pants | 2025 Fall Workwear Capsule
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Gap Ponte Cropped Straight Pants
In this post I’m featuring a pair of straight black pants from Gap. I’m a fan of a full-length wide leg pair of pants for the versatility and ease of taking them into the winter, but I wanted to include a classic pair of straight pants as an option. These ponte pants from Gap are soft and stretchy, so comfortable!
Petite Fit Details
I’m wearing these pants in petite xs, and find them to have a slightly roomy fit. I recommend a size down if you’re able to for the best fit overall. In petite they have a 10.5″ rise and a 24.5″ inseam. These pants are an ankle length on me, perfect for wearing with sneakers, loafers, heels, and ballet flats. This style is a little bit harder for me to pair with boots in the winter. The opening is wide enough, but they’re not quite long enough. If they come close to the top of your foot, they’re an easy pairing with slim ankle boots.
