If you’re a teacher who can wear jeans to work, or maybe only on Fridays, here are five outfit ideas for the classroom with a pair of relaxed straight jeans from Quince.

Outfits for Teachers with Jeans
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Quince Relaxed Straight Jeans
The jeans I used in this post are a relaxed straight style from Quince. They’re not petite, but they come in inseam options, and the 28″ inseam works well for me. If you have a shorter inseam, they also come in a 26″ inseam. The jeans have a high 10″ rise and comfortable stretch denim that doesn’t bag out. The jeans are organic cotton, and at $50, they’re well priced for their quality. I find them to fit true to size. I wear them in a size 24.
With a Polo Top
The first thing that caught my eye about this top is the color. It’s such a pretty shade of purple. If purple isn’t your thing, the top also comes in three other colors. It’s stretchy and ribbed, with functional buttons. I went up a size to XS and think that was a good choice, otherwise it would have been snug and gaped at the buttons.

With a Button Down
A button-down top is a workwear classic. I love the way it looks tucked in with a pair of high-rise jeans. This one from LOFT is true to size, and I love the red and white colorway.

With a Cotton Cropped Cardigan
This cotton cropped cardigan from Quince is a perfect pairing with the jeans. It’s 100% organic cotton and I love the cropped length. The sleeves are a great length as well. This is one Quince sweater I don’t need to cuff the sleeves. I’m wearing it in XS and find it to fit true to size. I chose a sleeveless top underneath so you can easily drop the layer in the outdoor heat.

With a Sweatshirt Cardigan
This sweatshirt cardigan is my new favorite thing. It’s your favorite cozy sweatshirt, but in this cardigan style, it’s a little more elevated. In XXS, it’s a roomy fit, but so comfy.

With a Cropped Button Down
I love a cropped button-down top. The cropped length is perfect for petites, and it’s a one-and-done outfit that’s easy to throw on and go. No extra tucking or styling required, this top meets the rise of a pair of high-rise jeans perfectly. I’m wearing the top in Petite XS and find it to fit true to size.

Bonus Outfit
I threw in one outfit with a pair of classic straight jeans from Quince instead of the relaxed pair. This pair is true to size, and I wear the 26″ inseam. If you prefer this cut, all of the above outfits would look great with the slimmer pair swapped in. The cardigan in this outfit is oversized, and the sleeves are too long to wear without cuffing or pushing back. I’m wearing it in Petite XS here; if you can size down, that’s a safe bet.
