Petal & Pup Dress Review
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Lauryn Dress
The Lauryn Dress is shown on the model as an off-the-shoulder dress, but I found it to fit me better worn on the shoulder. It’s stretchy enough through the straps that you can wear it off or on the shoulder, and it also has a tie at the chest that you can loosen and tighten. Wearing it on the shoulder pulls it up just a little bit and makes the dipped waist land at my waist, making the dress better proportioned for me. I’m wearing it here in XS and it fits me well through the body. The buttons are functional and also stretch. The fabric of the dress doesn’t have any stretch, but it does have smocking at the back that stretches.
Ashtyn Dress
The Ashtyn Dress is a maxi dress with adjustable tie up straps. It has an empire waist with a full skirt and a sweet yellow and white floral print all over. I find it to be true to size, I’m wearing it in a size 0. The chest doesn’t have any stretch and is a little bit snug on me (for reference I’m a 32B) so if you’re larger in the chest, you may want to size up. The skirt is unlined, but it’s not sheer. I would wear this dress as is, but the hem is simple so it’s easy to hem without losing any of the detail of the dress.
Aurelia Dress
The Aurelia Dress has so many details! It is eyelet, with embroidery and scallops along the chest. The dress is well-made and fully lined, so it isn’t see-through. It has a zipper closure with no stretch at the chest but adjustable tie straps. I’m wearing it in XS and find it to fit true to size.
Edison Dress
The Edison Dress is a flowy, loose maxi dress that reminds me of a casual summer day. It is fully lined and made of substantial fabric, so it’s not see-through. The dress runs large and has a loose fit, with adjustable tie straps—I’m wearing it in XS. It is a little bit long on me – but I would personally still wear it.
Giselle Mini
I picked the Giselle Mini dress because it looks extra short on the model – so I knew there was hope for me. The dress is above the knee with a generous fit through the body. It has a zipper closure with a keyhole detail and button at the neck. The dress is fully lined with a sheer overlay. The overlay is patterned with white flowers. The sleeves are sheer and have a drawstring detail so you can cinch them up and down.
Although Petal & Pup doesn’t carry petites, overall, you can still find options that work for you there. The overall sizing is true to size, and for length, I keep an eye out for dresses that look short on the model or have adjustable straps when I’m shopping for dresses that aren’t petite sizing.
