Summer Outfits by Color: Blue
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Linen Shorts
I love a breezy pair of linen shorts. I’ve been singing the praises of the Quince linen shorts – and I love those – but I also found a pair at J.Crew I bought in a few colors. The Stratus Shorts are true to size with a comfortable, and thin, stretch waistband. If you compare them to the Quince short, the thinner waistband is a little more comfortable to me, because it’s less compression on my mid-section. In my true size, XXS, the shorts have just the right amount of room without being too big. They have a 3″ inseam – shorter than my Quince pair, but I still love the length. I paired them with a light blue top from LOFT. This top has a perfect fit, not too low in the arms and I love the crochet detail at the sleeves.

Linen Dress
I found a less expensive option for the linen dress I love at J.Crew, at J.Crew Factory. This dress is true to size and well proportioned for petites. For reference, I’m wearing it here in Petite XXS. It’s unlined, lightweight linen, so nude undergarments will work best with this one. I love this bright blue, but this dress also comes in four other colors.

Active Shorts
Second to linen shorts, I love wearing activewear shorts in the summer. Personally, I prefer styles that have a 3-4″ inseam and are more casual than workout. I also like styles that don’t have a lining, like this pair I found on Amazon. In XS, they’re a perfect comfortable fit. I paired them with a breezy tank top from Athleta, which is another piece that will keep you cool and doesn’t drop too low at the arm openings.

Maxi Dress
This light blue dress from LOFT is so floaty and dreamy. I love the color and all of the soft layers. This dress is fully lined and has a generous fit that is drawn in by the string belt. It is true to size, I’m wearing it in Petite XXS. It would be a beautiful option for beach family photos or a beach wedding guest dress, dressed up with heels instead of sandals.

Matching Set
This matching set is so soft and comfortable. It is from LOFT’s Haven Well Within, which is a line I haven’t tried until now. The fabrics are luxe and cozy. I’m wearing both pieces in XXS, and they’re slightly oversized on me, but still fit well overall. I also bought these Haven Well Within organic cotton shorts and love them for lounging.
