Wedding guest dresses can be tricky. Depending on the dress code, you can wear a dress ranging from a sundress to a ball gown. In today’s post I have three petite-friendly dresses that could work for a cocktail or semi-formal wedding dress code. They are rich colors that could work for late summer and fall wedding.

Petite-Friendly Wedding Guest Dresses
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Floral Ruched Dress
This dress is a beautiful, rich floral print. The dress is very stretchy with a ruched mesh overlay. The ruching is a nice figure-flattering touch, and the stretch makes the dress very comfortable to wear, despite it being a body-conscious fit. I’m wearing the dress in Petite XXS and find it to fit true to size. It’s fully lined and has grip at the chest. You can wear it strapless or with the optional straps.

Cowl Halter Maxi Dress
This dress brings the drama with its low back and draped neckline. The dress is fully lined and true to size. The halter neck makes it easy to adjust to your height. This is one I would wear with shapewear for a comfortable fit, and because of the low back, you’ll need to wear an adhesive bra.

Crepe Midi Dress
This gorgeous maroon dress is from Quince. It’s fully lined and has adjustable tie straps. I’m wearing it in XS and find it to fit true to size overall, but it does have a little extra room at the chest on me (I’m a 32B for reference). This dress sold out quickly, but Quince is known to restock so you can sign up for restock notifications.
