So it all started when I saw Whitney’s pom pom clutch on Peaches In a Pod. I LOVED it! I started seeing it in the hands of other bloggers all over Instagram and was dying to have one of my own, but they were sold out on every link I clicked. One blogger had the exact clutch linked at South Moon Under, but it was $42.00 at the time (it was later marked down to $38.00). This very same clutch, in blue, was only $22.00 at Francesca’s. As much as I wanted the clutch, I wasn’t about to pay double the price for it. So, I searched online, but to no avail. The clutch was sold out pretty much everywhere. I gave up and went on with my life.
That was until last week on a little trip to the mall with my boys. Now, I don’t typically take my boys shopping with me, it’s just asking for trouble. We have an awesome local mall with lots of fun activities for the kids, that I love to take the boys to. So, we were on our way to the outdoor playground and I was doing a little window shopping. Wouldn’t you know it, from the window of Francesca’s there was that little clutch I was so dying to have. I knew it would be risky taking the boys into a small store full of tiny little, breakable things, but to me, the clutch was worth it. So I dove in. I grabbed the clutch and in a brief moment of distraction over their friends and family, buy one get one 60% off sale, I started to browse for that 60% off item. At the very same time I hear a loud crash and what sounded like something breaking. The entire store went silent. I looked over to see my five-year-old, sneaking away with a look of guilt. My first thought was oh my gracious, what broken thing do I have to buy now. Luckily, it was a bowl full of keychains or something and nothing was broken!! I went ahead and checked out, sans my second item before we accidentally burned the joint down.
So, slight embarrassment aside, I came home happy with my clutch. When I told my husband the story and showed him the clutch, he laughed. His take on the clutch was a placemat folded up, with craft pom poms glued to it. He may be slightly right about the craft poms, haha.
Is there anything, that’s sold out, that you’ve been dying to have?

p.s. – remember the top I was telling you about in Wednesday’s post? This is the one. I totally shrank the back, which made me cry, literal tears.
