Cactus print tops are popping up everywhere lately. Although I live no where near the desert, I jumped on the band wagon and added my own little bit of cactus print to my closet. As if I didn’t love Francesca’s enough, they contacted me a couple of weeks ago and asked me to pick a favorite or two, as a thank you for my non-stop Fran talk. I couldn’t hit reply and yes fast enough, let me tell you!

Cactus Print Top
My first pick, was this cute little cactus print top. As if the embroidered cacti weren’t cute enough, this tank top is also striped. One thing you can’t see in my pictures, is on top of each cactus is a pink flower. It has a sweet little tie in the back, which is not only cute, it makes the top itself adjustable. I was able to tie it up to the point I was happy with the arm holes. The top is fully lined, which is always a plus, in my opinion. I’ve already worn it out and had many compliments. You can bet I wont make the laundry mistakes I’ve made with my other Francesca’s tops, this cutie is a hand wash only. My typical size is xs, but I am wearing a small, so I would size up. I paired it here with my beloved STS Blue Boyfriend shorts, they’re still the bomb. My Tory Burch Miller sandals, (also still the bomb) and a few Kendra Scott baubles.
Rainbow Pom Pom Clutch
Y’all remember my story about this clutch? Let me tell you, it’s back in stock! Along with a few new cute friends I would brave the store with two wild boys for. I still want to add a plain straw bag to my summer wardrobe, but I’m not going to lie to you, I have a thing about buying too many bags. I’m not much of a bag queen, more of a one bag, wear it all season, kind of girl. I also don’t splurge on bags, mainly because I tend to treat them poorly, so it would end up just being a waste of money for me. But, you never know, sometimes when you stumble upon the perfect one, you just have to have it.

The day we took these pictures, I decided I was going to throw all responsibility to the wind and while the boys played in the yard, I laid in the sun. I know, shame on me. But, soaking up some rays feels so good sometimes. We don’t have a back deck or a patio or any grass in the back yard yet, at our new house, so I just laid in the front yard. We don’t typically have too many people come past our house so I was thinking I would be safe. Well, then the FedEx man rolls up. This wouldn’t have been a problem, but I had my fluffy white dog, with the little dog syndrome outside, who proceeded to chase the FedEx man. So there I am, in my bikini, in my front yard…winter white skin, barefoot, chasing this darn dog. My five-year-old told me I was embarrassing. In that moment, I was. Ha! I also ended up laying out way too long and got burnt up, only on my back. So I had to attempt to photoshop my burn out of these pictures, don’t look too closely. My neighbor and I, who moved in around the same time as us, joke that we brought the drama to the neighborhood. I’m sure if anyone saw me running around half naked in my front yard the other day, they were thinking the same thing.
