I’ve been slowly trying more activewear from Quince, and overall I’ve been impressed with the quality, comfort, and price point. The fabrics feel comparable to much more expensive activewear brands, and the construction has been consistently well done. That said, the fit has been a bit more mixed on my 4’10” frame. While some pieces work surprisingly well, others require a little more consideration when it comes to support, strap adjustability, and proportions. Today I’m sharing a review of four activewear pieces I’ve tested, including two active dresses, a skort, and a workout tank, and how they fit a petite frame. For size reference, I’m 4’10” with measurements of 32-24-36 and typically wear an XS or Petite XXS.

Quince Activewear Review for Petites: What Fits a 4’10” Frame

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Ultra-Form Active Dress

Size Tried: XS

The Ultra-Form Active Dress is made from Quince’s soft Ultra-Form fabric with a lightweight feel and minimal compression. If you prefer activewear that doesn’t feel restrictive, this dress is incredibly comfortable.

From a petite perspective, the overall fit works well, but there are a few things worth noting. The dress has a lower neckline and doesn’t include adjustable straps, so I found the chest fit a little too open for my frame. There is also no built-in shelf bra or removable cups, which means there isn’t much support built into the dress itself.

I would personally wear this one layered with a sports bra underneath for additional coverage and support.

The dress includes built-in shorts that are fully attached to the dress. While they stay in place well, they don’t have an easy-access design, so bathroom breaks require removing the dress.

What I Like

  • Soft fabric
  • Lightweight and comfortable
  • Low-compression fit
  • Length works well on a petite frame

Things to Consider

  • Low support at the chest
  • No adjustable straps
  • Low neckline on petites
  • Attached shorts aren’t convenient for restroom breaks

Power Up Square Neck Dress

Size Tried: XS

If you’re looking for more support than the Ultra-Form Dress provides, I would recommend the Power-Up Square Neck Dress instead.

This dress fit me very well overall and felt much more secure through the chest. It includes built-in support and adjustable straps, which helped me customize the fit for my petite frame. Adjustable straps are always a huge plus when shopping outside of petite sizing.

The bottom layer features lightly compressive built-in shorts that provide support without feeling restrictive. Meanwhile, the outer dress layer skims the body rather than clinging to it, creating a flattering silhouette that feels athletic without being overly fitted.

What I Like

  • Adjustable straps
  • Built-in chest support
  • Comfortable light compression
  • Flattering fit that skims the body
  • Petite-friendly proportions

Things to Consider

  • More structured than the Ultra-Form Dress
  • Built-in shorts may not appeal to everyone

Court Sport Active Skort

Size Tried: XS

The Court Sport Active Skort was one of my favorite pieces from the collection.

This pleated skort fits well in XS and sits at about my belly button, giving it more of a mid-rise fit than the ultra-high rises often found in activewear. The waistband is soft and flat without digging in, making it comfortable for all-day wear.

The length feels balanced on my petite frame, and the pleated design adds a sporty look without creating too much volume.

If you’re a skort fan, I think this one is an easy recommendation.

What I Like

  • Petite-friendly length
  • Comfortable waistband
  • Lightweight pleated design
  • Easy to style casually or for workouts

Flowknit Breeze High-Neck Tank Top

Size Tried: XS

I paired the Court Sport Active Skort with the Flowknit Breeze High-Neck Tank Top in Granite Grey.

This tank is lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking, making it a great option for workouts or hot summer days. The fit works well overall, though the arm openings are slightly dropped.

Because of the lower arm openings, you’ll likely want to wear a sports bra underneath. Fortunately, it layers well over most sports bras and creates a comfortable, sporty look.

What I Like

  • Lightweight performance fabric
  • Breathable and moisture-wicking
  • Comfortable fit
  • Works well layered over sports bras

Things to Consider

  • Arm openings are slightly oversized
  • Requires a sports bra underneath for coverage

Final Thoughts

My favorite pieces from this group are the Power Up Square Neck Dress and the Court Sport Active Skort. Both offered the best combination of fit, comfort, and functionality for my height. The Ultra-Form Active Dress is incredibly soft and comfortable, but I personally needed more support and coverage through the chest to feel fully comfortable wearing it on its own. I’ve also had luck with their active shorts and mid-rise joggers.
