Spring Break Beach Style for Petites: Easy Vacation Outfits

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Linen Blend Dress

There’s no shortage of dresses on Amazon that look great online but show up feeling stiff, synthetic, or oddly shiny. This one, though, is the exception.

It’s a linen blend that actually feels like linen — breathable and lightweight — and it’s fully lined for coverage. The dress includes optional adjustable straps, which make a big difference for petites. I was able to shorten the straps quite a bit, which also helped bring up the overall length to better suit my frame.

I’m wearing it in XS. There’s a little extra room through the body, but it still works well. If you need more space through the chest, the dress also features stretch panels along the sides for added flexibility and comfort.

Crochet Skirt and Top

This crochet skirt and top are another great Amazon find. The skirt is soft, stretchy, and fully lined, so it not only looks good but feels comfortable, too. I find the length works especially well for petites, and I love how versatile it is — you can dress it up for dinner or wear it as a cover-up over a swimsuit. I’m wearing the skirt in XS.

The coordinating top is double-lined and fits me well in XS. It’s a soft cream rather than a stark white, which blends beautifully with the skirt for an easy, cohesive beach look.

This skirt is noted to be “frequently returned due to tight fit” which was a winning review for me, it’s an Amazon find that actually fits me.

Crochet Cover-Up

I found this crochet cover-up at Target and fully expected it to be too long on my petite frame — but I was pleasantly surprised. In XS, the length is just right, and it has thoughtful details like a dipped back that shows off your swimsuit.

I paired it with a swimsuit from Target featuring a full-coverage bottom and ruching across the torso. The ruching helps it work for a variety of heights and adds comfortable shaping through the midsection, making it both practical and easy to wear for a beach vacation.
