Three Petite-Friendly Thanksgiving Outfits with Pants and Jeans

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Jeans + Fair Isle Sweater

Nothing says the holiday season like Fair Isle knits. I’ve been collecting Fair Isle pieces this year, and this one stands out for its vibrant navy and pink color combination.

In XXS, the fit is perfect — not too cropped, not too boxy. When buttoned all the way up, it gives the look of a mock-neck sweater, which I love for chilly November days. I paired it with my bootcut jeans from J.Crew, which have a 10″ rise and a 29.5″ inseam in petite 24 (inseam increases as size increases). They do shrink slightly after washing, so the inseam ends up closer to 28.5″, making them just right with heels.

Velvet Pants + Neutral Sweater

If you want to look a little elevated but still comfortable, this is the outfit. These velvet pants from J.Crew in deep navy are so soft and elegant — they instantly make a simple sweater look more polished.

I paired them with a neutral knit sweater for a casual look. The pants have a 10.5″ rise and a 29″ inseam in petite, which works perfectly with heels. They fit true to size but do relax a bit with wear. For a more dressed-up version, you could easily swap the sweater for a silk blouse, add heels and a pair of statement earrings.

Corduroy Pants + Lace Top

This outfit leans a little more Christmas than Thanksgiving, but I couldn’t resist sharing it early! These corduroy pants from J.Crew are the same ones I featured in my fall capsule wardrobe, just in a vibrant red instead of cream.

They have a 10.5″ rise and a 29″ inseam (I’m wearing the Petite 24). The fabric is thick, warm, and incredibly comfortable — perfect for a cozy family gathering. I dressed them up with a lace top from LOFT (wearing Petite XXS) and finished the look with gold heels for a touch of holiday sparkle.
