Four Petite-Friendly Dresses for Thanksgiving
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

The Gemini Dress from Anthropologie is such a unique and elegant option for Thanksgiving. This two-piece set can be worn together or styled separately.
The underlayer satin dress is sleeveless with wide straps and a flowy asymmetrical hem that moves beautifully. On top, the soft knit sweater adds warmth and texture — and the fit in Petite XXS is perfect on me. I love that this set feels luxurious yet comfortable enough to wear all day. Somerset Dress — Anthropologie
The Somerset Dress from Anthropologie has become a fan favorite that is released each season in new colors and fabrics. This velvet version is absolutely stunning for the holidays — rich, soft, and full of movement.
It fits true to size, and I’m wearing it in Petite XXS. The stretch waist makes it extra comfortable, while the clasp closure at the chest provides a secure fit. This one is perfect for Thanksgiving dinner and would also be a great choice for fall family photos or holiday parties.
Ribbed Sweater Dress — J.Crew
If you love something a little more fitted but still cozy, the Ribbed Sweater Dress from J.Crew is a beautiful option. The material is soft, stretchy, and body-conscious, so I recommend wearing shapewear underneath for the smoothest fit.
This dress doesn’t come in petite sizing, but I’m wearing it in XXS, and it fits well through the body. The sleeves are a little long, so I cuffed them under for a cleaner look. You could easily layer a wrap or shawl on top for a touch of warmth and modesty — plus, it adds a bit of elegance for Thanksgiving dinner.
Clifton Dress — Tuckernuck
The Clifton Dress from Tuckernuck is a non-petite dress that still works beautifully for smaller frames. It starts at XXS and has 3/4 sleeve which are a little longer than 3/4 on me, but overall a great length. I love the color and texture of this one but if you don’t love corduroy, this dress also comes in other fabrics.
It has an a-line silhouette with a stand collar and lengthening V-neckline. I love this one dressed up with heels, but it would look just as beautiful with tights and ballet flats or knee-high boots.
