Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays for cozy, comfortable style — and as a petite (I’m 4’10”), I’m always looking for outfits that balance comfort, proportion, and a little festive touch. Whether you’re spending the day at home or celebrating with friends and family, here are four petite-friendly Thanksgiving outfit ideas by style.

Petite-Friendly Thanksgiving Outfits by Style
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Comfortable in Corduroy
If you love a cozy and polished look, corduroy pants are perfect for Thanksgiving. This pair from Gap is the Stride Wide-Leg style, and while they look similar to the jeans, they differ in the fit.
- Rise: 10″ (an inch lower than the Stride jeans’ 11″)
- Inseam: 28″ — slightly shorter
- Fit: True to size with light stretch
I styled them with low-heeled boots and a camel sweater (this one is unfortunately sold out). A burgundy sweater would look beautiful with this outfit as well. I tied the colors together with a cozy scarf and a Long Toscana Coat from J.Crew (coat review here).

Comfortable in Leggings
No matter what trends come and go, I’ll always love a leggings outfit — especially on Thanksgiving when comfort is key.
These Aerie leggings (in short length) are perfect for petites. They’re a classic cotton blend without heavy seaming, making them easy to style casually. I paired them with an oversized poncho sweater from Amazon — I’m wearing a size small — and finished the look with my petite-friendly knee-high boots from Duo. ( Read my full review of these boots here.)

Dressed Up in Black
For those who love to dress up a little for Thanksgiving, an all-black outfit is always classic and chic. I started with a simple black turtleneck from Aritzia (any black turtleneck will work) and paired it with a skirt from & Other Stories. The skirt runs small, so I recommend sizing up.
For warmth, I added tights, knee high boots, and topped it off with the Heirloom Coat from Aritzia. Like all Aritzia coats, it’s warm, structured, and beautifully made. In XXS, it fits me well through the body but is slightly long in the sleeves. (And yes — I accidentally misbuttoned it in these photos, oops!) A chunky scarf is the perfect finishing touch for a little extra warmth and detail.

Casual in Jeans
You can’t forget a casual jeans outfit for Thanksgiving. I went with my stretchy jeans from Quince, but since they’re currently sold out, I’m linking a very similar option from Madewell.
The Madewell Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Jeans have a 10.5″ rise and 28″ inseam. I paired the jeans with low-heeled ankle boots and a neutral argyle cardigan with metallic thread woven in — subtle but festive. The sweater is a little roomy, and I have the sleeves cuffed under – but I would consider it true to size overall. I layered a turtleneck underneath for warmth, but a crewneck top would look great too.
