In today’s post, I’m sharing the wardrobe basics I buy over and over again—foundational pieces I’ve found that consistently work well for me.

Wardrobe Basics I Buy Over and Over Again
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
The Camisoles I’ve Been Buying Since I Was a Teenager
Maybe it’s the millennial in me, but I’ll never stop wearing a camisole under everything—it’s a comfort piece for me. I’ve been buying the same one from Kohl’s for years because it consistently works well. I wear it in a size small, and it has a built-in shelf bra.

The Best Layering T-Shirt
Most seasons, I find myself on the hunt for a new layering T-shirt to love. This year, I found a great one at Quince—and I’m hoping they keep it in stock for years to come. The Cotton Jersey Top has light stretch, a slim fit, and holds its shape through the wash (no crinkled collar after a few cycles). It’s not see-through at all—though you’ll still want a nude bra with the white option. I find it fits true to size and love wearing it under sweaters and sweatshirts, as well as on its own.

Socks That are a Perfect Fit for a Size Five
I found these socks on Amazon a couple of years ago, and they’ve been a staple in my wardrobe ever since. I love wearing them over leggings and under jeans. They’re a perfect fit for my size 5 foot, and I appreciate that they don’t come up too high on the ankle—ideal for shorter legs.

The Comfiest Bra I Own
During the winter, when I’m wearing lots of layers and chunky sweaters, I love being comfortable in a bralette. The Support Bralette from EBY is so comfortable I can even sleep in it. The cups don’t shift or come out in the wash, and while it offers light support, it still provides a bit of lift. I love it and own several so I can wear one every day.
