Wide-leg jeans have become one of my favorite denim styles, and there are so many petite options now. This roundup is a little bit different for me, though. I don’t typically share denim reviews where I need to wear heels with every pair because, realistically, heels aren’t practical all the time.
However, for this post, I wanted to focus specifically on wide-leg jeans for petites that pair well with heels. The longer lengths combined with a wide-leg silhouette can give the illusion of more length on a petite frame. They’re also great options if you like to dress up your denim for work, dinner, or an event.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Gap High Rise Stride Wide-Leg Jeans
Size: Petite 24
Rise: 10.5″
Inseam: 29″ in petite sizing
Fabric: 99% cotton, 1% spandex
Fit: True to size
The Gap High Rise Stride Wide-Leg Jeans have more of a trouser-jean look than a casual, relaxed denim style. The dark wash makes them especially easy to dress up, and I love the way the longer length looks with heels.
I’m wearing my true size, Petite 24, and find them to be true to size. The 99% cotton and 1% spandex blend gives them a little bit of stretch, but they still hold nicely.
The petite inseam is 29″, so at 4’10”, these are definitely a heels-only pair for me. With the added height, though, the longer hemline creates a really nice lengthening effect.
These would be a great pair to wear out to dinner with a pretty top and heels. You could also lean into the trouser-jean look with a blazer and pumps for a business casual outfit.
These jeans also come in an ankle length, which is somewhat awkward on me personally in petite (they hit the top of my foot), but if your inseam is shorter than mine, they may be a great option for wearing with flats instead of heels.

Madewell Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Jeans
Size: Petite 24
Rise: 10 3/8″
Inseam: 28.5″ on the wash I’m wearing (Harvey Wash)
Fit: True to size
The Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Jeans from Madewell have been one of my favorite wide-leg denim styles. They’re comfortable, flattering, and have the quality I look for in a pair of jeans I plan to wear for several seasons.
One thing I have found with the Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Jeans is that the fit can vary a little from wash to wash, including the length. The standard petite inseam is listed at 28″, but when I remeasured the particular wash I’m wearing, I found the inseam to be closer to 28.5″.
That extra half inch makes a difference on my 4’10” frame, so this particular pair works best for me with a low heel.
I’m wearing my true size, Petite 24. They have a figure-hugging fit through the hips without feeling tight and then open into the wide leg. I also love that they hold their shape with wear. They’re a comfortable, high-quality pair of jeans that I find lasts well over time.
If you’re shopping this style in a different wash, I would keep in mind that you may find some slight variations in fit and length.

Levi’s Low Loose Jeans
Size: 24
Inseam: 30″
Rise: 9 1/8″
Fabric: 100% cotton
Fit: True to size for a relaxed fit
The video here is from my first impressions of the jeans in a size down. I’ve since received my true size, and that is a much better fit! I have an updated review of the true size pair in an upcoming post.
Despite the “Low Loose” name, the 9 1/8″ rise is more of a mid rise for petites.
These are 100% cotton with a thick, structured denim feel and no stretch. They’re also the widest and most relaxed of the three pairs in this roundup, so they’re a good option if you prefer a looser wide-leg silhouette.
I’m wearing the 30″ inseam, which is quite long on me at 4’10”. I need a significant heel to make this length work, but when paired with the extra height, I love the long, relaxed line they create.
