Sequins are always a fun choice for the holiday season! Whether you’re dressing up for a Christmas party, holiday dinner, or New Year’s Eve celebration, a little sparkle is perfect for the occasion.
In today’s post, I’m sharing five sequin holiday outfits for petites, including a mix of dresses and skirts. I went with a few classic holiday colors like champagne and navy, along with some different options in chocolate brown and orange. There are also a few budget-friendly finds from Kohl’s mixed in!
As always, I’ll be sharing my fit notes for each piece, including sizing and how they fit on my 4’10” frame.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Champagne Sequin Skirt + Satin Blazer
Starting with a classic holiday combination, I paired a champagne sequin skirt from the LC Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl’s with a satin blazer from Ann Taylor. I love the mix of textures in this outfit and how the champagne tones work together with the gold heels and matching clutch.
The sequin skirt comes in petite sizing, and I’m wearing Petite XS. It runs a little large on me at the waist and across the hips, so I recommend sizing down for the best fit if you’re between sizes. The skirt has a side zipper closure and is fully lined, with a mesh lining at the bottom.
I paired it with a satin blazer from LOFT in Petite 00. The blazer also runs a little large, so I’m wearing the sleeves pushed back for a better fit. For this outfit, I pinned the blazer closed at the top so I could wear it without a top underneath. You could also layer a simple camisole underneath if you prefer more coverage.
I finished the outfit with gold heels that fit true to size and a champagne clutch. I love how everything works together for a dressy holiday outfit.

Navy Sequin Dress from Nine West
If you prefer a relaxed fit over a fitted sequin dress, this navy option from Nine West at Kohl’s is a great one to consider. It has a comfortable, easy-to-wear shape with a V-neckline and flutter sleeves. It’s also fully lined and has a stretch waist.
I’m wearing the dress in Petite XS, and I find it runs a little large. The relaxed silhouette gives you room through the body, so if you prefer a closer fit, you may want to consider sizing down.
This would be a great option for a holiday dinner or Christmas party, especially if you prefer a dress with sleeves and a little more room through the body.

Chocolate Brown Sequin Dress from Banana Republic Factory
Chocolate brown has been one of my favorite colors to wear this season, so I was excited to find a sequin dress in this shade at Banana Republic Factory.
This dress has a classic shift silhouette with short sleeves and full coverage in the back. It’s fully lined and has a button closure at the back.
I’m wearing the dress in Petite 00, and I find it to be true to size. The overall proportions work really well on my petite frame, from the sleeves to the length and fit through the body.
What I love most about this dress is the color. Chocolate brown is a little different from the traditional black, gold, and silver sequins you often see during the holidays. I think it’s a beautiful option for a Christmas party or New Year’s Eve celebration, especially paired with warm neutral accessories.

Orange Sequin Midi Skirt + Satin Top
For something a little different, I went with a colorful sequin outfit from Ann Taylor. This orange sequin midi skirt is such a fun option for the holidays, and I love how it looks paired with a satin top in a complementary shade.
The skirt comes in petite sizing, and I’m wearing Petite 00. It fits true to size and is fully lined.

Nine West Sequin Dress from Kohl’s
Next is another budget-friendly sequin dress from the Nine West collection at Kohl’s. This is a great option if you’re looking for something festive at a lower price point.
I’m wearing the dress in Petite XS, and it fits me well overall with a little extra room through the body. It’s fully lined, which I always appreciate in a sequin dress.
One thing to note about the fit is the narrow cut at the top. This is a dress you’ll want to wear with a strapless bra because of the neckline and shoulder shape.
The dress also has a zipper closure and a bow detail at the back of the neck. I think this detail is especially pretty and would look great with your hair pulled up to show it off.

Black Sequin Pants + Velvet Top from LOFT
If you prefer pants over dresses or skirts for holiday parties, these black sequin pants from LOFT are a beautiful option. They were very popular last year and sold out quickly, so if you love them, I wouldn’t wait too long to grab a pair.
I’m wearing the pants in Petite 00, and they fit me true to size. They have a 28″ inseam in petite sizing and are fully lined, making them comfortable to wear. I love that they’re a dressy option that still feels easy to wear for an evening out.
I paired the pants with a sleeveless velvet top that has a beautiful draped back. I’m wearing the top in XXS. The velvet adds another texture to the outfit, and the draped back is such a pretty detail.
