If you’re a petite looking for workwear from Aritzia, the Cropped Effortless Pants are one style worth considering. While the rise is quite high, the cropped length works surprisingly well on a shorter frame and creates a polished silhouette that’s easy to dress up or down.
If you enjoy a high-rise fit, these pants can be a great petite-friendly option for the office. Their tailored shape pairs well with everything from relaxed tops to structured pieces, making them a versatile foundation for a work wardrobe. Today I’m sharing four outfit ideas featuring the Cropped Effortless Pants that are perfect for summer workwear.

4 Ways to Wear Aritzia’s Cropped Effortless Pants to Work This Summer
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Fit Notes: Aritzia Cropped Effortless Pants
Before getting into the outfits, let’s talk fit.
The Cropped Effortless Pants feature an 11.5″ rise and a 24″ inseam. On my 4’10” frame, the rise is on the higher end and may feel a bit too high for some petites, particularly if you have a shorter torso. They are meant to be worn a little relaxed, so this 11.5″ rise sits lower than jeans with the same rise.
I also find these pants run large and recommend sizing down. I’m wearing 0 in this post, but 00 would be a better fit for me. Overall, they create a polished cropped trouser silhouette that’s easy to style with both flats and heels.
Striped Top and Cropped Effortless Pants
For the first outfit, I paired the Cropped Effortless Pants with an oversized striped top from LOFT.
I’m wearing the top in XXS and love how the relaxed fit balances the tailored look of the pants. The stripes add a classic feel while keeping the outfit comfortable and approachable for everyday office wear.
This combination feels effortless while still looking professional and is a great option for more casual work environments.

Regal Vest and Pointed-Toe Flats
For a more polished summer outfit, I paired the pants with Aritzia’s Regal Vest in Light Birch and pointed-toe flats.
I’m wearing the vest in a size 0 and sized up for a more comfortable fit. The tailored structure of the vest pairs beautifully with the clean lines of the Cropped Effortless Pants, creating a modern suiting-inspired look that’s ideal for warm weather.
I finished the outfit with pointed-toe flats, which help elongate the leg line and balance the cropped length of the pants.

Cotton Poplin Wrap Top
For the third outfit, I styled the pants with a cropped wrap top from Ann Taylor. I’m wearing the top in petite xxs and it fits true to size. I like to wear a camisole with it so my midsection doesn’t show when lifting my arms.
The crisp cotton poplin fabric gives the outfit a polished feel while remaining lightweight and breathable. The wrap silhouette pairs particularly well with the high-rise pants because it creates definition at the waist without adding bulk.
Together, these pieces create an outfit that feels professional while still being comfortable enough for warmer days.

Monochromatic Satin Look
For the final outfit, I went with a monochromatic look using a satin draped top from Aritzia.
I’m wearing the top in XXS, but it runs large and I would recommend sizing down if possible. The draped satin fabric elevates the outfit and creates a sophisticated look that’s perfect for the office, work events, or even after-work dinners.

The Cropped Effortless Pants are a versatile workwear staple that can easily be styled for a variety of office environments. While the rise may be a bit high for some petites, the proportions may work well for others. The 24″ inseam in a wide leg can be worn cropped or full length. Chances are, if you have a 24″ full length inseam as a petite, you have a longer torso, so the proportions of these pants may work very well for you.
