As the popularity of Aritzia’s Lodge Pants continues to grow, more brands are releasing their own versions of these viral pull-on trousers. The Aritzia pair is great—the fabric is wrinkle-resistant, they drape beautifully, and they’re easy to dress up or down. That said, they are quite expensive, and for petites, the fit can be hit or miss.
In petite sizing, the Lodge Pants start with a 28″ inseam in XXS and increase with size, which means they don’t work for many of my readers. I previously found a great alternative at Banana Republic Factory that quickly sold out, but I’m happy to say I’ve found another option: the Sawyer Pants from LOFT in crepe.

Petite-Friendly Pull-On Pants Styled Four Ways
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
The Sawyer Pants from LOFT come in a variety of fabrics and colors throughout the seasons. I recently tried the chambray version, so when I saw them released in a crepe fabric, I had to give them a try. In petite sizing, they have a 27.5″ inseam—slightly shorter than the Lodge Pants—and they come at a much more accessible price point.
What is Crepe?
Crepe isn’t a specific fabric—it refers to the way the fabric is constructed. It can be made from materials like silk or cotton, but most commonly, you’ll find crepe made from polyester.
Yes, polyester is synthetic—but it’s what gives crepe its wrinkle-resistant finish and makes it easy to machine wash. Both the Aritzia Lodge Pants and the LOFT Sawyer Pants are made from 100% polyester crepe.
How Does it Feel?
If you’ve never tried crepe before, you might expect it to feel light and airy like linen—but it’s actually quite different. Crepe feels more like a lightweight dress pant or a soft blazer fabric, with a subtle texture.
While it’s wrinkle-resistant and easy to care for, it’s not especially breathable. I love crepe pants for casual outfits and workwear, but I wouldn’t reach for them on hot days the way I would with linen.
