If you caught the mini casual capsule wardrobe I recently shared, you may remember that instead of posting my usual larger capsules this season, I’m focusing on smaller mini capsule wardrobes.

Today I’m sharing a 10-piece petite workwear capsule wardrobe. Some of these pieces are ones you’ve seen before in previous posts and capsules, along with a few newer finds that I think will quickly become wardrobe classics.

All of the pieces mix and match easily, and I’ve styled them into 15 work outfit ideas to help you get started.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

3 Bottoms

High-Rise Wide-Leg Ponte Pant: Banana Republic Factory Petite XXS

In petite these pants have a 10″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam. The fabric is soft and stretchy, and I absolutely love the fit. They have a high rise with a button-and-zip closure and slash pockets in the back. They’re just as comfortable as pull-on pants, but with the added polish of real trousers — not leggings.

Fit-wise, these are spot on for me. I often struggle with stretch pants feeling tight through the thighs and hips, but this pair drapes beautifully. The silhouette is a slim wide-leg that’s perfectly balanced — not too narrow and not overly wide.

Crop Flare Everywhere Ponte Pull-On Pant – Banana Republic XS in Ganache Brown

These pants were also included in my winter capsule wardrobe. I chose them in regular sizing instead of petite to get a slightly longer fit. In standard sizing, they have a 10″ rise and a 26.5″ inseam.

I find that they run a bit small, so I recommend sizing up. They’re a comfortable pull-on style that feels a lot like your favorite pair of leggings while still looking polished enough for work.

Pleated Skirt – Amazon Small in Dark Gray

I’ve been sharing this skirt on my blog for years now—I’ve honestly lost track at this point. Maybe you’re tired of seeing it, but I’m definitely not tired of wearing or sharing it.

This skirt is a comfortable pull-on style that still looks elevated, making it a great option for work outfits. It’s fully lined and fits me well in a size Small, although it does come in XS as well (that size can just be a little harder to find in stock). I’m wearing it here in the Dark Gray color.

Taupe Tank Top – WHBM XXS in Pumice

I first shared this tank top in a mini work travel capsule post. I love the soft color and slim fit, and the neckline gives the top a polished look. The arm openings also fit well, which makes it easy to wear on its own or layered under a blazer or cardigan.

Light Blue Sweater – J.Crew Factory XXS in Hthr Blueprint

I love the cotton Teddie sweaters from J.Crew Factory. They have a slim fit that tucks in easily and looks polished when worn on its own. I chose this color because it pulls from the blue in the Ann Taylor blazer that I also included in this capsule.

Blue Shirred Top – Kohls Petite XS in Cyclone Blue

I found this top at Kohl’s, and it reminds me a lot of a more expensive style from Madewell. It also happens to be a perfect match to the pleated skirt, so I had to include it in the capsule. The top has a loose, billowy fit, but the length works well for petites. You can easily wear it tucked in or left untucked, which makes it a versatile piece for different outfits.

Striped Button Down – LOFT Petite XXS

This striped button-down has an oversized fit, so it naturally billows a bit when tucked in. I love the modern, relaxed look it creates. I’m wearing it in Petite XXS, and if you prefer a less oversized fit, I would recommend sizing down.

2 Blazers

Plaid Blazer – Ann Taylor Petite 00

I chose this plaid blazer for the subtle colors. It’s neutral but still adds a little pop. I find this blazer to be true to size and I love the long modern fit.

Taupe Ponte Blazer – WHBM Petite 00

I included this blazer in the mini capsule as well. It’s a perfect match to the taupe tank top and is so soft and comfortable. This blazer has a cropped fit that many petites will appreciate as well. It’s true to size.

1 Coat

J.Crew New Icon Trench Coat – Petite 00

I tried the updated version of my beloved Icon Trench Coat and ended up loving it too. I also tried it last year, but I think I just wasn’t ready for the longer, more modern fit at the time.

This time around, I really appreciate that the sleeves are well proportioned and the overall fit is still slim and flattering, even with the longer length. This version doesn’t have a hood like my original Icon Trench, but the sleeve fit is better and it’s more comfortable to wear overall.

If you’re deciding between the two, I’d recommend this version if you prefer a more modern trench coat, and the original if you want a classic fit with a hood.
