I have a handful of go-to brands I rely on to find petite pants and jeans. I find I like different things about each brand, but when it comes to Gap and the Gap family of brands, I love the variety in their petite selection. They offer petite jeans and pants, as well as casual options like petite leggings, pajamas, and sweatpants. I’ve come to love a lot from Gap over the years, but in today’s post, I’m reviewing five different styles of petite pants from Gap.

Petite Pants from Gap

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Gap 365 Trousers

  • Size Wearing: 00 Petite in Black Moss Green
  • Fit: true to size
  • Inseam: 28″ in petite
  • Rise: 11 ” in petite

The 365 Trousers from Gap are a favorite of mine because of the petite-friendly length. This is one of the few pairs of wide-leg trousers I’ve come across that I can pull off with a pair of flats. On my height the 28″ inseam gives an on-trend bunchy look with flats, but can also be worn with a low heel . They’re true to size and have a stretchy waistband in the back, which adds to their comfort. To note, I have found some variability in the length and fit of the pants in different colors. So I can only attest to the exact color (Black Moss Green) that I’m wearing here. I’ve had some requests to include fabric and care details in my pants reviews, so I’m aiming to add that. The 365 Trousers are recycled polyester and are machine washable.

Low Rise Flare Khakis

  • Size Wearing: 00 Petite in Black Moss Green
  • Fit: true to size
  • Inseam: 28″ in petite
  • Rise: 9” in petite
  • Fabric & Care: 100% Cotton | Machine Washable

The Low Rise Flare Khaki Pants fit like my favorite pants from high school and I’m here for it. They’re 100% cotton and machine washable. Since they’re cotton, you can expect these to stretch out with wear. On first try, they are snug on my hips and thighs and a little bit loose at my waist. Since I anticipate loosening with wear, I would still stick with your true size. The 28″ inseam works well with a pair of flats on my height. The 9″ rise is more of a mid-rise for me and may be a high-rise on you if you have a short torso. If it hits under your belly button I recommend wearing these pants with an untucked top to balance the proportions.

Downtown Khakis

  • Size Wearing: 00 Petite in Navy Blue
  • Fit: true to size
  • Inseam: 24″ in petite
  • Rise: 10” in petite
  • Fabric & Care: 97% Cotton 3% Spandex | Machine Washable

The Downtown Khakis have a classic slim straight fit and a petite-friendly 24″ inseam. This pair is noted to have a mid-rise, but it’s 10″, which is more like a high-rise for petites. Like the flare khakis, this pair stretches a little bit with wear. In my true size, they are a little bit loose at the waist and snug on my hips and thighs, but not tight enough to suggest a size up. This cropped length is great for wearing with an assortment of shoes, including chunkier styles like loafers.

Easy Wide Leg Pants

  • Size Wearing: XS Petite in Dark Moss Green
  • Fit: true to size, but you could size down if you prefer a closer fit
  • Inseam: 28″ in petite
  • Rise: 10” in petite
  • Fabric & Care: Recycled Polyester 57%, Polyester 34%, Elastane 9% | Machine Washable

The Easy Wide Leg Pants are relaxed and comfortable. They have a generous, wide leg and a drawstring waist. I find them to be true to size overall, but if you wanted a closer fit, you could size down and still get a good fit, thanks to the drawstring waist. They don’t wrinkle easily and are machine washable. You could dress these up if you wanted to, but I like them worn relaxed with flats and sneakers.
