The green color trends of the season are soft, natural, and surprisingly easy to wear. From pistachio and muted mint to earthy matcha and vibrant grass green, these shades feel fresh for summer.
If you’ve been wanting to try the green trend but weren’t sure where to start, I found four petite-friendly options in some of this season’s most popular shades of green.

Green Outfit Ideas for Summer: Pistachio, Mint, Matcha & Grass Green for Petites
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Light Pistachio Green
If you’re more of a neutrals person like me, adding color in a subtle way can feel a lot more wearable — like pairing a neutral top with a softly printed pair of pants. The pants in this outfit are a soft pull-on wide-leg style from LOFT with a flat front waistband and comfortable stretch at the back. They’re a lightweight blend of cotton and linen.
They fit true to size, and in petite sizing they have a 27.5″ inseam. While LOFT calls the color “shale green,” the soft tone paired with black and white gives me more of a pistachio green feel for summer.

Muted Mint Green Dress
This muted mint green dress is 100% cotton and has such a soft, comfortable feel. The fabric has a little stretch to it and isn’t clingy at all, which makes it really easy to wear during the summer.
I’m wearing it here in Petite XXS. It’s a little roomy overall, but I would still consider it true to size. This is one of those versatile dresses you can easily wear casually with sandals or dress up a bit more for work or summer events.

Matcha Green Dress
I love the muted matcha shade of green in this dress. I’m wearing it here in standard sizing XXS, and overall the length and fit work really well on my petite frame. The one area that runs a little snug is the waist, so you may want to consider sizing up if you’re between sizes.
The dress is fully lined and has functional buttons all the way down the front, along with hidden snap closures between the buttons to help prevent gaping. The green color is selling quickly, but it also comes in a soft pink option.

Grass Green Printed Dress
This grass green printed dress is from Anthropologie. It does come in petite sizing, but I found the standard XXS to fit true to size and be short enough on my 4’10” frame. If you prefer a shorter length, though, the petite version would likely work really well too.
The dress is fully lined and incredibly comfortable to wear. I love the bold grass green print for summer, but if this pattern isn’t your style, it also comes in several other colors and prints.

I love that this season’s green color trends feel soft, natural, and easy to wear instead of overly bold. Whether you prefer subtle shades like pistachio and muted mint or brighter tones like grass green, these colors feel fresh for summer while still being very wearable for everyday outfits. They’re an easy way to add a little color to your wardrobe without feeling too trendy or over the top, especially on a petite frame.
