A couple of weeks ago, I polled my IG followers for their favorite fall fashion sneakers, and Gola Elan came up again and again. I grabbed the bone/white pair—soft, neutral, and easy to style—and I’m happy to report they’re true to size and fit my size 5 feet well. They’re comfortable with light arch support, and the low-contrast color helps lengthen the leg line on a petite frame.

How I Style Gola Elan Sneakers (Petite Fall Looks)

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

In today’s post I’m styling Gola Elan sneakers four ways for fall.

Cropped Trench + Wide-Leg Jeans + Gola Elan

Why it works: A cropped trench coat is great for petites. This one hits right at my hips, but paired with high-rise bottoms, they still lengthen my legs. The bone/white sneakers keep the look visually light at the feet, which gives the illusion of more length.

Fit notes: The Aritzia trench is proportioned well for petites but runs a touch long in the sleeves on me (I cuff them). The Bella Wide Leg jeans are true to size and come in inseam options; I’m wearing the 28″.

Classic Trench + Full-Length Flares + Gola Elan

Why it works: Flares + a structured trench read polished even with sneakers. I prefer a mid- length trench coat and the Icon Trench at J.Crew is my favorite.

Fit notes: The pants are 100% cotton and true to size but loosen with wear. I recommend a snug initial fit. In classic they have a 28″ inseam and in petite they have a 26″ inseam. The jacket is true to size but is slim through the arms. You may want to size up if you want to layer thick sweaters underneath.

Chunky V-Neck Sweater + Wide-Leg Jeans + Gola Elan

Why it works: A cozy oversized sweater is a comfortable relaxed look. You can front tuck the sweater or wear it untucked and relaxed.

Fit notes: Sweater is oversized and sleeves run long (I cuff them); I’m wearing XS. The Bella Wide Leg jeans are true to size and come in inseam options; I’m wearing the 28″.

Full-Length Corduroy + Long Cardigan + Gola Elan

Why it works: Full-length cords skim the sneakers neatly, and the long cardigan creates a vertical line. I keep the top fitted or front-tucked for balance so the proportions stay petite-friendly.

Fit notes: Cardigan in XS fits overall but is slightly roomy; I cuff the sleeves. The pants are a style that’s meant to be cropped, but regular sizing gives me a full length. I’m wearing the pants in petite 24 and they have a 28″ inseam in classic | 26″ inseam in petite. They fit true to size, but loosen with wear so I would go with a snug fit.
