Six Petite-Friendly Wide Leg Jeans That Actually Fit
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). I’m wearing these in petite 24 in the dark storm wash, and they’re true to size. The petite inseam is 28″ with a 10.25″ rise, which makes them a great everyday option. I love that they work just as well with sneakers and sandals as they do with ballet flats.

This was the first pair of wide leg jeans I truly felt myself in. I’m wearing the 24 extra short in the dark wash. With a 27″ inseam and a high 10.5″ rise, they’re fitted through the hips and thighs before opening into a slim wide leg. The denim is 99% cotton, 1% elastane—thick and structured but still with a little give. These jeans lift and accentuate in all the right places. They have the same material content as the J.Crew jeans, but these have more structure and the denim feels thicker.

4. Madewell Perfect Vintage Wide-Leg Jean (Pipestone Wash)

The Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Jeans from Madewell vary in fit and feel from wash to wash. If you love a high rise and stretch denim, you’ll love the pipestone wash. I’m wearing petite 24, and in this wash, they’re 91% cotton, 6% recycled polyester, 3% elastane. With a 10.5″ rise and a 28″ inseam, they have plenty of stretch and a dark, clean finish. Comfortable enough for all-day wear, I reach for them with boots, flats, and sneakers. If you prefer a lower rise, the Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Jeans have a lower rise in enmore wash.
5. Quince Bella Wide Leg Jeans

An affordable alternative to Madewell’s Perfect Vintage Wide Leg, the Quince Bella jeans are only $50. They come in inseam options (28″, 30″, 32″), and I’m wearing the 28″. These are 94% organic cotton with a lot of stretch, so they’re extra comfortable. They do shrink in the wash, so I recommend laying them flat to dry if you want to keep the length. I’ve been seeing a lot of colored denim out this season and Quince just released these jeans in a few new colors – naturally I’ve ordered them to style!
6. Aritzia The Farrah Hi-Rise Wide Jean

Relaxed but flattering, these jeans cinch at the waist while keeping an easy fit through the leg. I’m wearing size 24 short with a 28″ inseam, and they’re 100% cotton—so expect them to loosen with wear. They remind me of Abercrombie’s ‘90s relaxed jeans, but with a relaxed fit. Perfect with sneakers, boots, loafers, or even heels.
