Petite-Friendly Linen Outfits
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Quince 100% European Linen Trouser Shorts
Starting off with the European Linen Trouser Shorts from Quince—this is a newer tailored style, and I love them. These shorts have a structured fit with a button and zipper closure, plus a stretch waistband at the back for comfort.
They fit me well in XS and are fully lined in both light and dark colors. My favorite detail is that the lining is sewn into the shorts, so it won’t twist or wrinkle in the wash. They have a 3.5″ inseam and are made from 100% linen.

Madewell Pull-On Pants in 100% Linen
The Pull-On Linen Pants from Madewell were part of my recent linen pants wash-and-wear test, and they ended up being a top pick for their overall style. I love the thin waistband and the slim, streamlined fit. They’re 100% linen.
I sized up in these for a little extra room, but if you prefer a closer fit, you can stick with your true size. In the short length, they have a 28″ inseam, though I found they shrank about an inch in the wash.

Kohl’s Linen Blend Shift Dress
This linen blend shift dress from Kohl’s is another great find from the juniors section. I’m wearing it in XS, and it fits me well all around, including at the arm openings.
It’s a linen blend and fully lined, so while it’s still lightweight and breathable, it’s not sheer.

Banana Republic Factory Linen Blend Shorts
If you prefer a linen blend, these shorts from Banana Republic Factory are a great option. They have a similar tailored style to the Quince shorts, with a button and zipper closure and a stretch waistband at the back.
They feature a slightly longer 4″ inseam and are unlined, but I didn’t find them to be overly sheer. I’ve tried them in both yellow and flax, and neither color appeared see-through. I’m wearing them in XXS, and they fit me well.
