One Fall Dress Styled Four Ways

I’m a fan of pieces that can easily be worn more than one way, especially a dress. In today’s post, I’m sharing a short-sleeve corduroy dress styled four different ways for fall. From casual outfits with flats or sneakers to knee-high boots and an outfit for work, this dress is an easy piece to style throughout the season.

One Fall Dress Styled Four Ways

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

The dress I’m wearing is from J.Crew. It comes in petite sizing, but I’m wearing the standard fit for a little extra length. In my true size, the standard fit is comfortably roomy, but I don’t find it oversized enough to size down. The dress is unlined but not sheer, has pockets, and has a full zip closure down the front. I love the simple style—no puff sleeves or heavy prints—and the zipper makes it easy to adjust the neckline to your preference.

With Ballet Flats

My initial instinct was to pair this dress with ballet flats. It’s the perfect length to wear with them. To add a little interest to the outfit, I added a scarf around my neck that ties in the colors of my shoes, then finished the look with a green suede bag for a third pop of color. With Sneakers

The above-the-knee length pairs nicely with sneakers. I draped a sweater over my shoulders for a little extra interest.

With Knee High Boots

I love the way this dress looks with knee-high boots. I added a shawl over the top to balance the boots and make the outfit feel more appropriate for cooler weather. I used a scarf magnet to secure the shawl and keep it comfortably in place. For a review of these knee high boots check out this post.
