If you’ve been scrolling lately, you’ve probably seen Aritzia’s Lodge Pants everywhere. They’ve become one of those internet-famous pieces that sell out over and over again — and for good reason. They’re made from a comfortable crepe fabric that doesn’t wrinkle, they look polished without trying too hard, and they can easily be dressed up or down.
They also come in short and regular lengths, which immediately puts them on a petite shopper’s radar.
I’ll be the first to admit: I’m sure they’re amazing. I love Aritzia’s quality and their attention to detail. But between the constant sell-outs in my size and the over-$100 price tag, I kept hesitating. I wanted to try them like everyone else… but I couldn’t quite bring myself to pull the trigger.
So instead, I went looking for an alternative.
And what I found? I’m genuinely excited about it.

The Aritzia Lodge Pants Are Everywhere — But I Found a Petite-Friendly Alternative I Love
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Banana Republic Factory Straight Mid-Rise Pull-On Pant
Based on how these pants fit the model, I wasn’t sure they would be a winner — but they absolutely are. They have a straight-leg silhouette with a slim fit, so they don’t feel overwhelming on my petite frame. In petite sizing, they feature a 10″ rise with a comfortable pull-on waistband and adjustable drawstring. The 27″ inseam is very petite-friendly, and the fabric is thick enough to wear comfortably through the winter, while still being lightweight enough to work year-round.
I wore them at my desk all day and did notice a bit of wrinkling at the thighs, but it was minimal and smoothed out easily. I can’t directly compare them to the Aritzia Lodge Pants since I haven’t tried those myself, but for reference, the Aritzia version is 100% polyester, while this pair is made from 63% recycled polyester, 30% rayon, 5% polyester, and 2% elastane spandex. Both options are machine washable and yes while polyester isn’t the best, it’s less likely to shrink in the wash.
The biggest difference lies in the price, these are under $50, while the Aritzia option is over $100.
What I love most about these pants is how comfortable they are — they fit like sweatpants, but the fabric is elevated enough that you can easily dress them up and wear them to work.
Here are a few ways I would style these pull-on pants:

More Alternatives
If you’re looking for more alternatives, this pair from Gap is more of a drapey fit with lighter fabric, but the length is great overall. (a touch longer than the BR pair with a 28″ inseam). This pair from Amazon is a great length (being offered in short), but the fabric is thinner. These may be prefect for summer but seemed a little too lightweight for winter to me.
Will I still try the Artizia version? Maybe. I do love Aritzia after all. But for now, I’m thrilled with this Banana Republic Factory option and look forward to mixing it into my wardrobe.
