Today I’m sharing three petite-friendly denim dresses from Gap, each with a different look and feel. From a structured denim shift dress to soft chambray styles, there’s an option here for just about every occasion. Plus, they’re all petite-friendly!

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Medium Weight Denim Dress
If you’re looking for a classic denim dress, this is my favorite of the three.
The fabric has the same substantial feel as your favorite pair of jeans, giving it more structure than a typical chambray dress. Despite the heavier denim, it’s still comfortable to wear and the fit is spot on.
I’m wearing Petite XS, and it fits true to size with a length that feels just right for petites.
This is one of those dresses that can truly work year-round. Wear it now with ballet flats, sandals, or heels, then swap in knee-high boots and a jacket once cooler weather arrives. It’s also casual enough to pair with white sneakers for everyday wear.
Dark Wash Chambray Dress
For something lighter, this dark wash chambray dress is a beautiful option.
The lightweight fabric makes it perfect for warmer weather, while the dark wash gives it a slightly dressier feel than traditional blue denim.
The slim silhouette skims the body without feeling overly fitted or clingy, and the short sleeves make it an easy choice for everyday wear. The length falls just above the knee on my frame, making it polished enough to wear to work while still feeling relaxed.
Pleated Chambray Dress
The final dress offers a softer, more feminine take on denim.
Made from lightweight chambray in a medium wash, this has a pleated silhouette that creates beautiful movement without adding too much volume.
I’m wearing Petite XS, and it fits true to size. It’s slightly shorter than the other two dresses.
I especially love styling this one with a neck scarf and either heels or ballet flats for a polished everyday outfit.
