Summer Outfits by Color: Purple

My first series of summer outfits, organized by color, seemed popular, so I’m back with another round. First up, a mix of casual and dressed-up purple summer outfits.

Summer Outfits by Color: Purple

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Maxi Dress

I took a chance on this dress, fully expecting it to be too long for me based on how it fit the model. I was pleasantly surprised by the fit! It features a soft, stretchy top that can be worn with a regular bra, and a fully lined, tiered skirt. The skirt is roomy and has a lot of swing. For size reference, I’m wearing the dress in XXS.

Mini Dress

If you’re looking for a petite-friendly cocktail dress, this mini dress from Aritzia is a great option. It’s fully lined, and the fabric is wrinkle-resistant. The straps are adjustable. The dress isn’t petite, and it’s short, so if you’re not petite, you may find it to be too short. For reference, I’m wearing the dress in XXS/00 and find it to be true to size.

Midi Dress

I love the comfortable, roomy fit of this midi dress. The dress features functional buttons, pockets, and a tiered, unlined style. It’s lightweight, yet not sheer, making it perfect for a hot summer day. The fit is perfect all around; I’m wearing it in Petite XXS.

Matching Sets

I found two matching sets from Amazon that are petite-friendly. The short-sleeved set is made of 95% cotton and is soft and comfortable, featuring built-in shorts. Lay this one flat to dry to avoid shrinkage. The second one features fully-lined shorts and a relaxed, boxy fit. Although the arms are roomy, they don’t gape and reveal your bra. I’m wearing both sets in XS.

Wrap Skirt

I love that J.Crew Factory puts out the same styles in new prints. It helps me find the things I already know will work for me. I first shared this skirt in a red linen style in this post and loved seeing it in this tile print version. I’m wearing the skirt in petite XXS, and it has a great fit. I paired it with a sleeveless poplin top from J.Crew Factory this top comes in petite, but is snug through the chest, so I recommend regular sizing.
