When it comes to fall and winter wardrobe staples, cozy sweaters are always high on my list. I love finding sweaters that are made with quality natural fibers, feel comfortable to wear, and will last for years to come. I find a mixed fit with their sweaters – some are oversized and some fit me well, despite not being petite. In today’s post I’m sharing the fit details for five different options that are a mix of cotton, cashmere, and alpaca.

For size reference, I’m 4’10” and typically wear XXS/XS or Petite XXS in tops. I’m wearing all five sweaters in XS.

Mongolian Cashmere Cropped Crew Cardigan

The Mongolian Cashmere Cropped Crew Cardigan is a newer addition to my wardrobe, and I think it has an excellent fit for petites. I’m wearing my true size, XS, and love the proportions. The cardigan comes right to the top of my hips, and the sleeves are a perfect length on me. I don’t need to roll or cuff them at all.

Beyond the fit, this cardigan is incredibly soft. I tend to have sensitive skin and often prefer to wear a base layer under sweaters, but this is one I can comfortably wear with a short-sleeve top underneath without any irritation.

I love wearing this cardigan casually with jeans, but it’s also a beautiful option for workwear. The cropped length pairs nicely with high-rise trousers, skirts, and dresses. I could also see it styled with a silk skirt for a dressier outfit.

Brushed Cashmere Cropped Cardigan

The Brushed Cashmere Cropped Cardigan has a similar fit to the Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan, but there are a few differences worth noting. I find this one to be slightly shorter through the body, with sleeves that are a little bit longer.

I’m wearing XS and consider it true to size. I often wear the sleeves cuffed, but the overall fit is still very petite-friendly.

What really stands out about this sweater is the fabric. It has an incredibly soft, luxurious brushed texture that makes it feel especially cozy. I purchased this cardigan last year, and it has become one of my favorite sweaters to style with workwear.

The cropped length looks beautiful with wide-leg trousers and skirts, and it also works well layered over dresses. Of course, it’s just as easy to dress down with a pair of jeans.

100% Organic Cotton Roll Neck Sweater

I have a large collection of organic cotton sweaters from Quince because I love their quality and how easy they are to care for. Unlike some of my more delicate knits, the cotton sweaters are machine washable, and the ones I’ve owned for years have held up beautifully through repeated washing without pilling.

The 100% Organic Cotton Roll Neck Sweater is a newer style, and I think it’s another great option for petites. I’m wearing XS, and it has a nice, slim fit through the body without being too tight. The length comes to the bottom of my hips, making it a little longer than the cropped cardigans.

The sleeves are a touch long on me, so I prefer to wear them cuffed.

I love the classic roll neckline and the simplicity of this sweater. It’s an easy piece to wear with jeans or casual pants, but it could also be dressed up with trousers for work.

Lightweight Baby Alpaca Turtleneck Sweater

The Lightweight Baby Alpaca Turtleneck is one of the first alpaca pieces I’ve tried from Quince, and I love the cozy fit.

This sweater is definitely oversized on my 4’10” frame, especially when compared to how it fits the model online. However, I personally love the relaxed look. It’s a comfortable sweater to wear casually with jeans, and the longer length also makes it a great option to pair with leggings.

I’m wearing XS, and it fits roomy through the body. The sleeves are a touch long, so I wear them cuffed.

Although the sweater is lightweight, it still provides warmth without feeling overly heavy. That makes it comfortable to wear on its own or layered under a coat when the weather gets colder.

If you prefer a fitted sweater, this probably isn’t the style for you, but if you love a relaxed, oversized knit, I think it’s a beautiful option.

100% Organic Cotton Knit Blazer

The 100% Organic Cotton Knit Blazer is one of my longtime favorites from Quince. I’ve had this sweater in my wardrobe for at least a few years, and it has held up beautifully through several washes.

I love this style because it combines the comfort of a sweater with the polished look of a blazer. It’s structured enough to wear with workwear, but the knit fabric makes it comfortable enough for everyday outfits.

I’m wearing XS, and I think the fit is excellent for petites. The length is well proportioned on my frame, the shoulders fit nicely, and the sleeves are a great length without needing to be cuffed.
