Satin pants are a beautiful option for dressing up an outfit, especially during the fall and holiday season. They’re comfortable, easy to style with sweaters and dressy tops, and can be worn with everything from heels to flats. If you’re looking for satin pants in petite-friendly lengths, I’m sharing five options with inseams ranging from 25″ to 27.5″.

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Abercrombie Gemma Satin Pants
Rise: 11″ | Inseam: 27.5″ (Short) | Fit: True to Size
The Gemma Pants from Abercrombie are my top pick for satin pants for petites. I love the feel of the fabric, the way they drape, and the range of colors available. They’re a beautiful option for holiday outfits, but they’re also versatile enough to dress down with a simple sweater.
In short sizing, the Gemma Pants have an 11″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam. They run true to size with a relaxed, wide-leg fit. Although I can typically wear a 27.5″ inseam with flats, I prefer these pants with a heel because of their relaxed shape.
These pants have also been highly praised by followers who have purchased them, which makes me even more confident recommending them.
One thing to keep in mind is that the satin fabric wrinkles easily. If you’re planning to travel or spend a lot of time sitting, that’s something to consider. Otherwise, they’re my favorite option in this roundup for the fabric, fit, and color selection.

J.Crew Cosmo Pants in Charmeuse
Rise: 10″ | Inseam: 27″ | Fit: Size Up
The Cosmo Pants from J.Crew are another beautiful option for a dressy outfit. This version is made from charmeuse rather than traditional satin. It has a similar sheen but feels a little more structured, giving the pants a polished look.
One thing I particularly appreciate about these pants is that they don’t have a drawstring. While I love the comfort of pull-on pants, the absence of visible strings makes this pair feel a little dressier.
With a 10″ rise and a 27″ inseam, they’re also one of the shorter options in this post.
I do find the Cosmo Pants to run small through the hips and thighs. If you’re curvy like me, I recommend sizing up for the best fit.
These are a great option if you love the look of satin pants but prefer a slightly more structured fabric and polished silhouette.

LOFT Sawyer Pants in Satin
Rise: 10.5″ | Inseam: 27.5″
The Sawyer Pants from LOFT continue to be a style I recommend for petites. I’ve reviewed them in several different fabrics over the years, and I love seeing this satin version for the holiday season.
This pair comes in a beautiful light, milky brown shade. Although the color selection is limited to just one option, it’s a versatile neutral that pairs well with ivory, chocolate brown, and other rich fall colors.
The satin Sawyer Pants have a 10.5″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam in petite sizing.
If you’ve enjoyed the fit of the Sawyer Pants in other fabrics, this version is worth considering for holiday outfits and special occasions.

Gap Easy Pants in Satin
Rise: 10″ | Inseam: 27.5″ (Petite) | Fit: True to Size
The Easy Pants from Gap are another comfortable satin option for petites. They have a relaxed, drawstring style, but what I particularly like is that the drawstring is hidden on the inside of the waistband.
It’s a small detail, but I appreciate the clean look it creates without strings hanging down the front. It makes the pants feel a little more polished while still having the comfort of an adjustable waist.
In petite sizing, the Easy Pants have a 10″ rise and a 27.5″ inseam.
I’m wearing Petite XS and find them to fit true to size, although I could easily wear Petite XXS if it were available. They have a comfortable, relaxed fit that works well for a dressy outfit without feeling too formal.

The easy pants also come in a crepe style; this pair has a track stripe, but they are also available in solid colors.

Target Taffeta Pants
Rise: 12″ | Inseam: 25″ | Fit: Runs Large
Last is a pair of taffeta pants from Target. I included these as an option for anyone looking for a shorter inseam, but a few things to consider about the fit and fabric.
First, these pants aren’t satin. They have a more structured feel rather than the soft, silky drape of satin. They still have a dressy appearance, but the overall look and feel are different from the other pants in this post.
They have a 12″ rise and a 25″ inseam, making them the shortest option in this roundup. The rise is also significantly higher than the other pairs, which is something to keep in mind if you have a shorter torso.
Unfortunately, these pants run quite large on me. I personally find them too big, but if you’re able to size down, I think you may find a better fit.
While they aren’t my favorite option for fit, I wanted to include them for the shorter inseam and as an alternative for anyone who needs a shorter inseam and may be able to wear a larger size than I can.

Which Satin Pants Are Best for Petites?
If I had to choose just one pair, my top pick would be the Abercrombie Gemma Pants. I love the fabric, relaxed fit, and variety of colors available. They’re also a style that has received great feedback from my followers.
For a slightly more polished, structured look, I would choose the J.Crew Cosmo Pants. I especially appreciate the shorter 27″ inseam and the clean waistband without drawstrings.
