It’s not a secret how much I love J.Crew. From the style, quality, and most importantly of all, the fit, they take a top spot for me. In today’s post, I’m reviewing four of their summer dresses that make a statement. All of them are petite-friendly and perfect for casual summer days and summer events.

Statement Summer Dresses
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.
Cerise Shirtdress
This dress is one of a kind. There isn’t anything else like it in my closet. The dress is made from 100% ramie, a lightweight fabric similar to linen. It’s sheer with a white slip underneath. I love the dip dye, rich colors, and classic fit. I’m wearing it here in Petite 00 and find it to fit true to size. The waist has a functional stretch drawstring, and the slip lining has adjustable straps.

Halter Mixy Dress
Grab this dress for your next summer date night or vacation. This halter-style dress has a stretch cotton top and a full linen skirt. I love this gorgeous shade of red, but it also comes in black and white. This dress doesn’t come in petite sizing, but thanks to the adjustable tie, I’m able to make it work for my height. The dress comes to my ankles, and looks best worn with heels.

Ravenna Dress
This dress is another 100% Ramie option. It’s lightweight, but not sheer like the first dress. I love the beautiful block print and ruffles at the chest and waist. This dress comes with the option of straps or wearing it strapless. The optional straps are adjustable, but if you choose to go strapless, the dress has enough hold to stay put thanks to the smocking. The skirt is fully lined. I’m wearing it here in Petite XXS and find it to be true to size.

Cap Sleeve Midi Dress
This cap sleeve midi dress is a perfect day dress. It’s 100% linen, but it isn’t sheer. The sleeves are stretchy, and there is stretch at the chest, waist, and back. High points for the sleeves, which seem like a hard-to-come-by commodity these days. The dress is true to size, I’m wearing Petite XXS, and it’s fully lined.
