The holidays were made for sequins. They catch the twinkling lights and instantly make a statement. Whether you prefer a subtle sequin top or full-on glam with a sequin dress, there’s a style for every occasion. In this post, I’m sharing three petite-friendly holiday outfits with sequins—all styled on my 4’10” frame.

Three Sequin Holiday Party Outfits

My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

Sequin Dress

I found a sequin shift dress at LOFT that fits beautifully. It’s a sleeveless style that you can easily layer with a coat for outdoor events. The dress fits true to size — I’m wearing Petite 00 — and my favorite detail is the bow at the back, which adds the perfect festive touch.

Sequin Skirt

This sequin midi skirt from Banana Republic Factory is such a gorgeous color that I couldn’t resist putting together a tonal look with a matching turtleneck sweater and coat. The skirt doesn’t come in petite, so it’s a little long and runs slightly large on me. I’m wearing a size 0, but I could definitely size down.

The turtleneck sweater fits well in XXS. I tucked it in here — it isn’t too bulky for the skirt — but you could easily wear it untucked for a more relaxed look. I finished the outfit with my longtime favorite: the Timeless Topcoat from Banana Republic Factory in a beautiful new color. It’s true to size in Petite 00 and has plenty of room for layering.

Sequin Top

For a subtle festive outfit, I paired a sequin top from LOFT with the Stride Wide-Leg Jeans from Gap. The top is a little sheer, so you’ll want to wear a nude bra underneath. It has a bit of stretch and runs small overall — I’m wearing Petite XXS, but I could have sized up.

The jeans are true to size. I’ve noticed the Stride Wide-Leg jeans can vary slightly in measurements depending on the wash. In the Dark Blue Indigo pair I’m wearing here, they have a 10″ rise and a 28.5″ inseam, which works well for me with a heel.
