If your style leans polished and elevated, there’s a good chance you love Aritzia. And if you’ve been searching for tailored shorts to add to your summer wardrobe, I’m comparing three of their most popular styles: the Limitless, Lodge, and Agency.
In this post, I’m breaking down how each one fits on a petite frame and which styles I prefer. From tailored and structured to relaxed and easy, each pair serves a different purpose—and I’ll help you decide which is the best fit for your wardrobe.

Limitless vs. Lodge vs. Agency Shorts: Aritzia Shorts on a Petite 4’10” Frame
My Sizing: I’m 4’10”, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 32″, 24″, and 36″. My inseam is 25″ (the measurement from the inside of my leg to my ankle bone). The clothes shown are unaltered and show how they fit me right from the store. I list my sizing beside each item to help you compare when shopping online. When referencing my true size, that is often the smallest option available at a brand or petite xxs/00/24. I wear a size 5 shoe.

New Agency Mid-Thigh Short
- Size Worn: 0
- Rise: 10″ taken from size 0
- Inseam: 4 3/4″ taken from size 0
- Also offered in mini, linen, crepe, I’m wearing the mid-thigh stretch option here
- High-waisted with a structured, tailored fit
- Clean front, with elastic back for comfort
- Feels the most polished and workwear-ready
- Petite note: great proportions if you want a sharper, more defined fit
The Agency Shorts are my top pick for an elevated style—they strike a great balance between polished and comfortable. I’m wearing the stretch version here, but they also come in linen and crepe. The stretch fabric is thick, not sheer, and doesn’t wrinkle easily. The fit is excellent—no clinging and no riding up.
They’re also offered in a mini inseam if you prefer a shorter length, but I’m wearing the mid option, which has just under a 5″ inseam. I sized up to a 0 and love how they fit. This pair is a 10/10 for me.

The Limitless Mid-Thigh – in Crepe
- Size Worn: 0
- Rise: 10″ taken from size 0
- Inseam: 5″ taken from size 0
- Also offered in mini, micro, linen, soft drape I’m wearing the mid-thigh crepe option here
- High rise with a flat front and elastic back waist
- Relaxed, classic fit through the hips and thighs
- Lightweight wrinkle resistant fabric with a soft drape (great for warm weather)
- Petite note: a little more relaxed than the Agency Shorts but similar fit
The Limitless Shorts are another polished option. I tried the crepe version for this post and like the overall look, but they aren’t my top pick. They’re good shorts, but I found them to be a bit tight at the waist, even after sizing up, which made them less comfortable.
The crepe fabric is lightweight and lovely but not as structured. If you’re deciding between the two, I’d choose the Agency Shorts over the Limitless.

The Lodge Mid-Thigh – in Crepe
- Size Worn: XS
- Rise: 11″ taken from size XS
- Inseam: 5″ taken from size XS
- Also offered in mini, and linen, I’m wearing the mid-thigh crepe option here
- High rise with a more relaxed, wide-leg silhouette
- Elastic waist for comfort and an easy, pull-on feel
- Slightly more casual than Limitless and Agency
- Roomier through the hips and thighs (great if you prefer less structure)
- Petite note: the volume can feel a bit oversized—best balanced with a fitted top
The Lodge Shorts are comfortable and, in the crepe fabric, virtually wrinkle-free. They have a relaxed, more voluminous fit. I personally love them, but I know from talking with many of you that the volume and higher rise may not be for everyone.
I sized up in this pair for more room at the waist. In XXS, they had a slimmer fit—which I preferred—but the waist was too tight for me. They also come in a mini length if you prefer a shorter option, but I’m wearing the mid-thigh version here.
I’d recommend the Lodge Shorts if you like a relaxed but still polished look and don’t mind a little extra volume with a high rise.

All three of these styles have their place—it really just comes down to the fit you prefer. If you want something polished and tailored, the Agency Shorts are my top pick. If you like a similar look but don’t mind a slightly more relaxed fit (and maybe prefer a tighter waist), the Limitless are a good option. And if comfort is your priority with a more laid-back, voluminous feel, the Lodge Shorts are a great choice. As always with Aritzia, it may take a little trial and error with sizing, but once you find the right fit, they’re easy pieces to build outfits around all summer long.
