The top five spring fashion picks, as chosen by my followers and readers, April 2017 edition! April was a fun month for my closet. I think spring is one of my favorite seasons to buy clothes, maybe because it’s exciting to get ready for warmer weather or maybe because the clothes are always bright and fun. I had a lot of favorites this month, but today, I’m sharing what you, my readers, chose as your favorites based on highest clicks and purchases! So here we go!
Top Five Spring Fashion Picks
1. Lace Skater Dress
I picked up this lace skater dress to wear for Easter and also to wear for a couple of weddings and bridal showers I have planned this spring and summer. What I love most about this lace dress is it is modest, no cut outs or see through areas, it’s affordable and it’s just so elegant! My readers loved it too, this dress was purchased left and right! There are still a few sizes left in the periwinkle color I am wearing and all sizes in the white version! If you choose to add it to your closet, I would recommend going up one size! You can find the original post here.
2. Tory Burch Miller Flip Flop
When I purchased my Tory Burch Miller Flip Flops, I was pretty sure I was the last person in the world to buy them. They are classic and have been wildly popular for some time. Although to me they were a little bit pricey, after seeing them enough, I had to have them! My readers loved them just as much as I do, because these too, were purchased several times. I don’t regret this investment one bit, my summer wardrobe is totally happy to welcome them. If you add them to your closet, I would recommend going up one full size as they run small. I chose the makeup color. I wore them in this post.
3. STS Blue Boyfriend Shorts

The next favorite hasn’t made it to the blog just yet, but was a favorite on Instagram. I raved about these STS Blue boyfriend shorts, because they really are the best! In terms of fit on me, they are not too short and not too long and are not tight at all in the thighs and hips. A common fit issue I have with shorts is with my hips and thighs. For something to fit my waist it tends to be tight around my hips and then also tight in my thighs. My thighs are more athletic and I wouldn’t consider them skinny. I’m only 4’11, so shorts with a longer inseam look silly on me, but I’m also nearly 30, so booty shorts aren’t appropriate. It’s a dilemma! But, this pair fits me perfect and many of my followers are hoping the same for themselves. They are also affordable at only $39.00. Another pair I purchased and love but haven’t shared yet also come from Nordstrom’s STS Blue brand. You’re going to see these shorts on the blog a lot this summer, because I’ve already been wearing them, non-stop!
4. J. Crew Off The Shoulder Gingham Top
I just shared this look on the blog last week, but this pretty little top made it’s appearance on Instagram a couple of weeks ago. I blame it on the bows, gingham, and off the shoulder combo; this top was a reader favorite! It also comes in chambray and a green gingham print, which are both so adorable! In my post, I mentioned that the top runs a little small and short, so when it pops up on the shoulder, it can be tummy bearing. I recommend going up one size!
5. Marc Fisher LTD Annie Wedges
Last, but certainly not least, are the Marc Fisher LTD Annie wedges. If I wasn’t cheap, I would buy these wedges in every color. When I purchased them, they were sold out in every color but cognac, which is what I have and am wearing. They are back in stock in other colors, like blush, which I would love to have! I’ve mentioned before, they are so comfortable and make you super tall! Totally worth the purchase. They are true to size. I’ve worn them here, here and here.
So that does it for April. It was a fun month, but I’m excited for May; full of birthdays, weddings and of course Memorial Day, the kickoff to summer!
Thanks for following along!
